How does it work?

Our water-based sanitisers use a unique, antimicrobial molecule derived from sand, that once activated and bonded to a surface acts like microscopic pins to pierce and physically kill germs — a bit like a pin popping a balloon.

This incredible little molecule means we don’t need to use nasty chemicals like alcohol, triclosan, or phenoxyethanol, making them safe and non-irritating for all ages, from new-born to elderly (even including pets).

Our products are 99% deionised water with only 1 active ingredient – Quaternary Ammonium Compound. QAC is derived from a molecule of sand, it goes through a synthetic process which actives it. Our sanitisers DO NOT contain alcohol, phenoxyethanol, triclosan or fragrance. Because such few ingredients are used our sanitisers are less toxic than Vitamin C and coffee.

Quaternary ammonium compound is derived from a molecule of sand that goes through a synthetic process to activate it. It is an ingredient most commonly used in other products such as toothpaste, shampoo, cosmetics, contact lens solution, wet wipes, deodorants, and skin antiseptics. The percentage of it in our sanitisers is so minute that it is benign.

With one application the activated Quaternary Ammonium Compound molecule physically bonds to the surface/skin and resembles a glove covered in microscopic pins that attract, pierce and kill any germs and pathogens it comes into contact with. The same principle as a pin popping a balloon. Once burst the germ or pathogen cannot be reformed. This means no resistance and no superbugs! Unlike traditional sanitisers that kill bacteria by poison or high-alcohol content. New Edition sanitisers physically kill the pathogen unlike other products on the market which chemically kill and will not continue to keep you protected over the course of the day.

Yes, our products are not instant killers, washers or detergents therefore make sure you effectively wash your hands or any surface prior to applying our sanitisers to ensure the ultimate germ protecting power. The purpose of our sanitisers is to kill and protect against any future germs you come in contact with.

Alcohol based sanitisers chemically kill germs but don’t protect against future bacteria you or the surface come in contact with. New Edition NZ Sanitiser formula physically kills and protects against germs for much longer after its been applied – up to 24hrs on skin and up to 30 days on surfaces.
Because we DON’T use alcohol, our sanitisers are safe to use on and around babies, children, elderly and pets. It also means your hands and skin will not be left feeling dry from daily use.

Once applied to your skin and it has dried, you are protected for up to 24 hours as we naturally renew our skin cells every 24 hours.

You only need to apply our sanitisers once every 24hrs for protection, it is not until natural exfoliation occurs that it will wear off. However there is no risk in reapplying as no harsh chemicals are used in our formula. We suggest you and your family apply to their hands each morning before day-care, school or work.

Yes, our solution is activated and effectively bonded to the surface once it is dry.

Nope! Because the active ingredient physically bonds to the surface of your skin, it will NOT wash off, wipe off or come off.

They are the same formula, however the main difference is the Baby Hand Sanitiser is a spray so it is easier to apply on little baby hands. Whereas the Hand Sanitiser is a foam that needs to be rubbed in (harder for little ones to do). Both are safe to use on all ages.

Once dried on the surface it will provide protection for up to 30 days.

Yes absolutely! As a liquid our sanitisers are less toxic than Vitamin C and Coffee, so will not harm real babies, fur babies or plant babies!

Yes! Because its free from alcohol and other nasties you can use the Everything Spray to keep germs off toys and out of little mouths. Top Tip: Make sure you clean the toys first then spray and let it completely dry before giving it back to them, to make sure you get maximum germ protecting power!

Yes, absolutely! Not only have our products passed extensive testing, you can conduct your own tests via an ATP device (a globally accepted method of testing for pathogenic presence and is commonly used in all major food and beverage production facilities. We also conduct these tests ourselves on all our products.

We are powered by Zoono, however our bespoke formula has removed a few extra ingredients from their original product to make it extra safe to use on babies and families without sacrificing any of its germ protection power!

Yes, our sanitisers have been extensively tested in Germany on a range of all skin types from young to old, different ethnicities and sensitivities.

While there are no official recommendations for cleaning car seats out there, there are definitely suggestions which we also agree with as a brand. Water and gentle cleaning materials are suggested for most models, some modern car seats and capsules by brands such as Maxi Cosi even state on their labels their fabric is washer and dryer safe. Our products are 99% water and only 1 active ingredient, used in such a low dose it is benign. Our formula has been widely tested and proven not to react with materials and fabrics, as it only sits on the surface of materials, surfaces and skin - which is how our technology works, it is a barrier against germs not an instant kill cleaning product. Our sanitising technology is also used by Air Bus and Boeing to spray their seats and seat belts.
We do not suggest you use our sanitisers as cleaners, as they are not detergents or washers they protect the surface against future germs. We do also suggest, to no spray directly on buckles or clips, and allow to dry before using.
